As an international freight forwarding company, ZBI makes occupational health and safety a primary objective in all of their activities both in the U.S. and abroad.   Each of our operating units is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.   ZBI has implemented a comprehensive safety management system based on the concept of accident prevention.

Key components of the system are:

• Periodic safety training for all employees, focused on safety awareness, accident prevention and emergency response


• Monthly safety meetings to promote the integration of occupational safety and health standards and guidelines into daily practice


• Monthly safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, policies, and procedures


• Written safety manual detailing company safety standards, policies and procedures


• Measuring and tracking safety key performance indicators to monitor overall safety performance and take appropriate corrective and preventive action


• Incorporating safety criteria in employee performance objectives and evaluations


• Ensuring that occupational safety and health objectives are embedded in project quality criteria
